AMMONIUM SULPHATE

* AMMONIUM SULPHATE OR FIXING AGENT IS USED WHEN APPLYING ACID DYES TO WOOL OR SILK BY DYEING OR PRINTING TECHNIQUES.

* AMMONIUM SULPHATE IS MILDLY ACIDIC AND IS A MORE EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO VINEGAR OR ACETIC ACID WHEN APPLYING ACID DYES. UNLIKE ACETIC ACID OR VINEGAR, AMMONIUM SULPHATE DOES NOT BOIL OFF WHEN HOT DYED OR STEAMED. AS A RESULT AMMONIUM SULPHATE GIVE STRONGER COLOURS.

* AMMONIUM SULPHATE IS RECOMMEDED WHEN APPLYING KEMTEX ACID DYES, KENANTHROL DYES, DS ACID DYES, ILL ACID DYES, KENAMIDE DYES AND DYACID DYES TO SILK, WOOL OR NYLON BY DYEING OR PRINTING METHODS.
